Family Friday Night
Every second Friday of the month we invite families with children, parents and grandparents to join a family friendly service at the synagogue, sometimes followed by a chavurah (friendship) dinner.
Imagine a service that begins with lighting the candles, with every family being given the opportunity to light a candle. Then as the singing and praying continues, family members are invited to share what will make their Shabbat special to create, in real-time, new prayers that reflect the mood of the moment. That is our Family Friday Night service.
The service is led by Rabbi Neil Janes and EJ Cohen our Director of Education and includes, prayers in age appropriate language, stories, activities and meaningful conversation. It begins at 6:30pm, come along and join us.
