Ivriah

Ivriah meets on Shabbat 9.30am to 12.30pm for Jewish Studies, Hebrew learning, Social Action initiatives, music making, praying , and all things busy.

GAN: Children may attend Gan from the age of 3. Gan meets at the same time as Ivriah on Shabbat. We encourage the little ones to join us – even if it is not for the whole morning! Gan kids have a relaxed time and Ivriah, with lots of play, arts, learning and (why not?) some Hebrew learning as well.

Curriculum: At Ivriah our objectives are to instill in our children a love and respect of Jewish life and values with the emphasis on enjoyment and participation. With these objectives always in mind, Ivriah’s curriculum covers The Bible and Jewish literature, customs and traditions, festivals, Shabbat, life cycle, history and Hebrew.

Shabbat B’Yachad: Every first Shabbat of the month, there is a Shabbat B’Yachad, when Ivriah will join the service from 11am.

Management: Ivriah is under the direct supervision of the Head Teacher Daniela Rotbande. We are always pleased to hear from parents who wish to discuss any aspects of their child’s Jewish education. The Rabbi and the Head Teacher are part of the Synagogue’s Education Committee (a sub-committee of the Synagogue Council) and this has overall responsibility for the policy and running of Ivriah.

For further information, please contact Daniela Rotbande on education@fps.org – you can also find us at Facebook (IVRIAH Fps), where we keep all our forthcoming events posted.
