The magic of living in a Jewish community is the opportunity to celebrate and to grieve with fellow members. With them our happiness is greater and our sadness shared. Many of these times when we express great joy or sorry are during lifecycle moments for us or our loved ones.
On the pages in this section you will find some brief information about most lifecycle moments. The information contained is not exhaustive and are for a little guidance. Your first step in planning or coping with a lifecycle event in the community is talking to Rabbi Rebecca Qassim Birk. There is no question that you should feel ashamed of asking and she will be happy to talk through any concerns you may have.
For any event to be celebrated within the community, individuals concerned must be members of the synagogue.
