BECOMING A MEMBER

Young Adults Membership

At Finchley Progressive Synagogue we welcome individuals who are young adults who wish to become members. We recognise that young adults are often only just beginning their professional careers and may only just be earning a salary. To reflect this, we offer a graduated discount for people up to the age of 30. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Liberal Judaism Passport

Finchley Progressive Synagogue supports the Liberal Judaism Passport Scheme for people aged 20-35. For individuals who would like to become more involved with Liberal Judaism without committing to one particular community. Are you prepared to pay a modest amount to associate yourself with Liberal Judaism values and practices? Why not sign up for a Passport to Liberal Judaism for benefits such as discounts at Liberal Judaism and ‘tent’ events, access to all Liberal Judaism communities and complimentary tickets to High Holy Day services. For more information or to apply please call Shelley on 020 7580 1663 or email shelley.s-d@liberaljudaism.org

To apply to become a member of FPS is quite straightforward. The first step is to send a message to our administrator (administrator@fps.org). Include in it your name, a contact number and email address and any questions or queries you have. If you would like someone to contact you, please ask one of the membership team will be in touch.

Alternatively, our administrator can send you some forms to fill out (at some point we may be able to have these online), which you should return as soon as you are able.

We welcome people who would like to become members and would like to invite you to become involved in our community in some way. Real, living, community only exists when we contribute to its life. Every member of our community has something they can give as their own terumah (offering) to communal life. Perhaps you have a skill or profession that may be of use. Maybe you would like to help on a team organising an event. Do you have experience working with a charity or are you able to volunteer to visit an elderly or bereaved member to give them support?

We look forward to hearing from you.
